The snake skin technique that is seen here was created by Roger Edgecombe.
Roger tried a number of techniques to generate snake skin.
He tried using lace as a stamp...no go.
He tried hand painting the individual scales. At a conservative estimate it would
have taken about 300 hours to do the job...bad idea.
Eventually we tried the lace again but this time sponging the paint through
the lace..and it worked!
